Script Report: THE CRAZIES

Paramount Pictures has selected Scott Kozar to remake George Romero's THE CRAZIES. The writer is best known for penning the remake of THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and the forthcoming remake of THE AMITYVILLE HORROR.
In Romero's original 1972 picture, the residents of a small town go mad after a biological toxin is accidentally let loose into the local water supply. THE CRAZIES was Romero's follow-up to his groundbreaking NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD.
