USC Literary Group Announces Nominations for Best Adapted Screenplay

According to a University of Southern California literary group, WONDER BOYS (Steven Kloves, screenwriter) and THE HOUSE OF MIRTH (Terence Davies) were among the best films adapted from books last year. Also included where, ALL THE PRETTY HORSES (Ted Tally), CHOCOLATE (Robert Nelson Jacobs), and HIGH FIDELITY (D.V. DeVincentis, Steve Pink, John Cusack and Scott Rosenberg) the university announced last week. The winning collaborators of the 13th annual award will be announced Jan. 22. Some 40 film and literary professionals selected the honorees.

Previous winners included: THE HURRICANE, A CIVIL ACTION, and L.A. CONFIDENTIAL
