Shrek and Donkey are at it again. This time the adventure including Fiona, Shrek's new bride. She feels the need to introduce Shrek to her royal parents, who see green. A not so happy fairy godmother, Prince Charming's mother, sets out to sabotage the newlyweds with a plan to hook Fiona, in a more lovely state, with her egotistical, airhead son. Gingerbread man, a gazillion times larger, and Puss 'n Boots with his split personality, assist as Shrek rescues Fiona from Prince Charming at the Far, Far Away Kingdom. Potions and passion come into play. Maybe not as funny as the first, it admittedly brings a wet eye. In the end, love conquers all, with Fiona choosing to have Shrek return from the attractive man he had become through a potion to the green, lovable ogre she'd fallen in love with. Nice situation and setup for the next sequel.
