Michael Sloane

Two Paths (2002)
Majestic, The (2001)
Hollywood Boulevard II (1989)

He has been a longtime friend of filmmaker Frank Darabont dating back to their days together as classmates at famed Hollywood High School. Michael Sloane initially aspired to act, attending L.A. City College and UCLA to study theatre. Following graduation, he became part of an Equity theatre company, and then formed a comedy duo with friend Jon Melichar (another Hollywood High grad) and performed at L.A.s renowned comedy showcase, The Improv, with surprisingly successful results. During their eighteen months together, the pair wrote all their own material, but soon Sloane found that his talents were better suited behind-the-scenes.

Concorde/New Horizons gave the writer the opportunity to pen his first script, Hollywood Boulevard II, directed by Barnett.
