Jim Cash died on March 24, 2000 at the age of 59. As a screenwriter and adjunct assistant professor at Michigan State University, Jim Cash managed to write (with his writing partner Jack Epps) one of Hollywoods biggest hits of the 80s, "Top Gun" (1986).
