Another Screenplay On the Auction Block on Ebay...
September 7th, 2005
"Thanks for yet another summer of thoughtless drivel. With no apparent provocation but that of the bean counters, you have managed to bore us to the point where we would rather grab a good book to ponder, and even entertain ourselves with parlor games."
In an open letter to Hollywood, screenwriters Mickey Ferguson and Mark Weisberg, in what seems to be an ongoing thing, are the latest to start an auction for their screenplay, "Gasoline." With no comprehension, apparently, that it will never sell. Though I whole- heartedly understand their disgust with this past summer's movies, this is not the way to go about doing it. It only generates some laughs, at their expense.
Oh, you can bid on the script, just make sure you start at "$500,000" the writers say.
