FIGHT CLUB Writer Knows HOW TO BE BAD...
May 25th, 2005
"Fight Club" writer Jim Uhls has a new project in the works. Variety reports that he’s obtained the rights to adapt "How to Be Bad", an upcoming murder and mystery novel by David Bowker (to be published on June 1). The story is about a mild-mannered and meek bookworm who is drawn into a shadowy world of danger and violence when he is seduced into complicity in several deaths, a suicide, a car bombing, an incident of eye-gouging, and other wince-inducing atrocities.
Uhls has several other irons in the fire now, including a film called "Flicker" that Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream) is directing. Flicker centers on a film student who makes it his mission to obliterate all B movies. Also just announced (for 2007) is a horror movie Uhls is writing, called "Selling Time" about a man who is given the unique opportunity to relive the worst day of his life, in exchange for seven years off his own life expectancy.
