TROY Writer to Write WOLVERINE

According to Variety, TROY screenwriter David Benioff has been hired by 20th Century Fox has to pen WOLVERINE, a spinoff focusing on the character from the studio's X-MEN films and Marvel comics. The report also indicates that Benioff will write with the expectation that a deal will be made for Hugh Jackman to reprise his role as the superhero.
Fox wil simultaneously prepare X-MEN 3, which will be written by Simon Kinberg.
