Script Report: UNTOUCHABLES PREQUEL

Screenwriting duo David Levien and Brian Koppelman (RUNAWAY JURY, ROUNDERS) have been hired to write the script for THE UNTOUCHABLES: CAPONE RISING, a prequel to the hit 1987 movie THE UNTOUCHABLES. Variety reports that the film will be directed by Antoine Fuqua (KING ARTHUR, TRAINING DAY.)
Reportedly, the story will follow what happens when Al Capone and Irish policeman Jimmy Malone (played in the original movie by Sean Connery) cross paths. Malone will be seen as an officer on the take who has a moral awakening when Capone arrives in Chicago.
