August 9th, 2004
Paramount Pictures has picked up THE KILLER'S GAME from Intermedia, reports Variety. The action thriller is set in the world of expert assassins. According to the report, the studio is in final negotiations with Intermedia for the project, which has previously drawn interest from directors including John Woo, Alex Proyas, Renny Harlin and Wolfgang Petersen. No director is currently attached to film, which also has gone by the name GODFORSAKEN. Reportedly it centers on an assassin who decides to go out in a blaze of glory and takes out a contract on himself but then decides he'd rather remain alive and must match skills with an array of hired hitmen. Project originated from a script by Rand Ravich, based on Jay Bonansinga's novel of the same name. Simon Kinberg (FANTASTIC FOUR) wrote the most recent draft.
