June 23rd, 2004
Variety reports that DreamWorks has optioned a New York magazine article, "The Siege of Fulton Avenue" by David Amsden, which recently appeared telling the minute-by-minute account of a standoff between police officers in Westchester County, N.Y., and a house full of partying teenagers. No word on who will write the screenplay. The article outlines how the police arrived to end a party, but the kids refused to unlock the door. They then spent the next three hours cleaning the house.
