ComingSoon.net has posted photos of writer/director Robert Towne's ASK THE DUST starring Salma Hayek, Colin Farrell, Justin Kirk, Donald Sutherland, and Dame Eileen Atkins. Principal photography on the Paramount drama, produced by Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner, started on May 3. Adapted from John Fante's Depression-era novel, Hayek plays the fiery Mexican beauty Camilla who hopes to rise above her station by marrying a wealthy American. That is complicated by meeting Arturo Bandini (Farrell), a first-generation Italian hoping to land a writing career and a blue-eyed blonde on his arm. Click photo to see more.
