Zwick Eye's THE TAILSMAN?

Ed Zwick ("The Last Samurai") is in talks to direct the horror film "The Talisman" at DreamWorks, reports Variety. He replaces Vadim Perelman (House of Sand and Fog), who fell off the project last week. The film, based on a horror novel by Stephen King and Peter Straub, concerns a 12-year-old boy who goes on a supernatural journey in order to find the talisman that can save his dying mother.
Zwick's upcoming projects for Fox, including "Khe Sanh", a Vietnam pic with Tom Hanks attached to star, and an untitled Robert F. Kennedy project. He will direct and produce.
