Michael Douglas picks THE UP AND COMER
Michael Douglas' USA Films-based Furthur Films has picked up a
scribe to adapt Roughan's eponymous debut novel "The Up and Comer",
to be published in June.
STORYLINE:
WRITER(S): John Polson (co-write and direct), Howard
Roughan
DEAL: dark comedy about a cutthroat attorney who is
enjoying all of the fruits that Gotham has to offer the rich
and hip. That changes, however, when a penniless prep-school
buddy blows into town and proceeds to blackmail him.
