Book Goes for $2 Million
Universal has optioned the first book ("Across the Nightingale Floor") in
a trilogy of historical novels about a Japanese orphan for Universal-based
producers Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall.
STORYLINE: a 16-year-old who is orphaned when his village is
massacred by an evil warlord. The story has elements of HARRY POTTER and
CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON.

PRICE: $2 million
