Miramax Rescues HORNET
Miramax has picked up the comic book based HORNET, which was
in turnaround from Universal. Universal had spent over
10 years and $10 million developing the project. The studio
still has the option to co-finance should the project get
made. George Trendle, son of the comic book's co-creator
will produce. No screenwriter yet attached to adapt.
STORYLINE: Concerns Britt Reid, a newspaper publisher
by day, and the crime fighting GREEN HORNET by night.
WRITERS: Fran Striker and George Trendle (creators)
DEAL: $3 million
