SOLARIS Shines for Fox
20th Century Fox has acquired the rights to the sci-fi thriller novel,
SOLARIS, by Stanislaw Lem. The novel was adapted once before, by Russian
director Andrei Tarkovsky in 1972. Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney may
eteam once again on this project. No writer has yet been hired to adapt.
STORYLINE: An astronaut on a rescue mission to a space station
finds the commander dead and two survivors who have been driven mad by
evil visions.
