Dreamworks and Imagemovers have acquired the rights to Terry
Ryan's semi-autobiographical novel THE PRIZEWINNER OF DEFIANCE,
OHIO: HOW MY MOTHER RAISED 10 KIDS ON 25 WORDS OR LESS. No writer
has yet been hired to adapt.
STORYLINE: Based on the author's own childhood and how his
mother supported the family by writing ad jingles for consumer product
companies
