Icon Would Like To THANK YOU FOR SMOKING
Icon Entertainment have signed short filmmaker Jason Reitman (yes, he's
Ivan's son) to adapt the comedic novel THANK YOU FOR SMOKING by Christopher
Buckley, which Icon had acquired the rights to in 1994. Reitman will also
make his feature directorial debut with the flick.
STORYLINE: A tobacco exec is kidnapped by non-smoking activists and
becomes an activist himself, although the FBI thinks it is all a publicity
stunt.
