Double A Films Makes Double Purchase
Double A Films, a prodco run by Andrew Fierberg and Amy Hobby
acquired the rights to two books this week. TOUCHING FROM A
DISTANCE, a biography of Joy Division lead singer Ian Curtis,
that was written by his widow will be adapted for the screen
by actor/director and now writer Michael Stock (PRINCE IN THE
LAND OF HELL, 1993). QUITTING THE NAIROBI TRIO, a dramatic
account of mental illness written by Jim Knipfel will
also be given the big screen treatment by Double A, although
o writer is yet attached to adapt.

STORYLINE: Concerns the life of Ian Curtis, deceased former
lead singer of Joy Division
