Grisham To Finance His Own Screenplay
John Grisham, he of the best-selling legal novels, has written an
original screenplay called MICKEY. Grisham will independently
finance the project. Writer/director Hugh Wilson (BLAST FROM THE
PAST, 1999) will co-produce with Grisham and direct as well.
Harry Connick Jr. is attached to star.
STORYLINE: A mans gets in trouble with the IRS and runs away
to Vegas with his son, a little league baseball star. In Vegas the
son starts playing ball again and gets into the Little League World
Series. Soon their true identities are discovered.
