FOX 2000 Welcomes THE CAPTAIN'S WIFE
Fox 2000, in a pre-emptive bid has purchased the comedy pitch
THE CAPTAIN'S WIFE by Tom Abrams (THE DESPERATE TRAIL, 1994) and
Dennis Bartok. Susanne and Jennifer Todd are attached to produce.
STORYLINE: Set in the 19th century, a woman journeys from
Boston to Africa to save her husband, but in the meantime falls
in love with the captain of the ship that is transporting her. I
think I just saw an updated version of this called PROOF OF LIFE.
I guess it's not a rip-off if you set it in a different century.
