Columbia Brings Back SPAWN
Columbia Pictures has acquired the rights to the comic book
SPAWN. The rights were in turnaround by from New Line Cinema,
the producers of the previous SPAWN (1997). Steve Niles will
develop the new script with producer and SPAWN creator, Todd
McFarlane. The project will be a "new rendition" of the comic
book and promises to be more "horror-based" than the previous
version. Let's hope it's not as crappy as the previous version,
too.
STORYLINE: A man returns to Earth as a soldier of the
devil.
