MTV Films Options ELECTION Novelist's Spec
MTV Films has optioned the comedy spec HOMETOWN BOYS by writer
Tom Perrotta. Perrotta wrote the novel that was turned into the
critically acclaimed ELECTION (1999). The producers of ELECTION,
Ron Yerxa and Albert Berger, will also tackle producing duties
on HOMETOWN BOYS. This is one to keep an eye on.
STORYLINE: A former high school basketball star and
professional player in Italy returns home after an injury and
is cajoled into coaching his alma mater.
