Aliiance Atlantis Gambles On DOUBLE DOWN
Alliance Atlantis Entertainment has acquired the rights to the
late French filmmaker Jean-Pierre Melville's BOB LE FLAMBEUR
{BOB THE GAMBLER} (1955) and plan to remake it as DOUBLE DOWN.
Neil Jordan (THE END OF THE AFFAIR, 1999) will write and direct.
Nick Nolte is attached to star, with shooting to being in France
in the spring.
STORYLINE: An aging theif tries for one last hit at a major
French casino.
