Aspiring Screenwriting Finds Another Way...
May 12th, 2004
A Part-time aspiring Actor and full-time Houston physician got his script to Dennis Hopper and now is a produced screenwriter. Pavan Grover, wrote a psychological thriller set in Texas which centers on death row. Grover knew a casting director who could get the script to Dennis Hopper. Apparently, Grover had read that Hopper liked Texas and the aspiring actor thought of a role and a story that maybe would suit Hopper, and then he wrote the script.
Grover not only wrote the script but plays a psycho killer who turns himself in to authorities. The movie was filmed in just 28 days on location in New Mexico in 2002.
Unspeakable, opened last week in Houston, starring Hopper as a tough prison warden. It is directed by Thomas J. Wright (known for his work on "CSI" and "Alias"). Antonio Calvache, of the Oscar-winning film "In the Bedroom", served as director of photography.
