Frank Darabont to Pen MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 3?
May 12th, 2004
According to several reports, first appearing on Ain't-It-Cool-News.com, Frank Darabont ("The Green Mile", "The Shawshank Redemption") is possibly going to pen the script for "Mission: Impossible 3". If this is correct, Darabont will be replacing Dean Georgaris ("Paycheck"), who was previously (reportedly) working on the script. It's unclear whether this is a page-one rewrite or a "tweaking" of some kind.
Darabont co-wrote the upcoming Cruise action-thriller "Collateral" for DreamWorks. He recently turned in a draft for "Indiana Jones 4" to Paramount which got Steven Spielberg's approval, but reportedly George Lucas did not.
