"I've finished my work, so now it's in the hands of God, or Spielberg and Lucas if you prefer," said Darabont. According to the trade, the film should go before the cameras this year with star Harrison Ford, Director Steven Spielberg and George Lucas Executive Producing.
Darabont has been a busy man. He just finishing writing "Fahrenheit 451" for Warner Bros., and appears set to direct a several projects. The writer-director says he is working on the 10th-anniversary DVD of "The Shawshank Redemption", which will include 90 minutes of extras such as his commentary, documentaries and a parody of the film. A theatrical re-release is planned for September, adds the trade.
