August 2nd, 2000
In April, Universal Studios and Danny DeVito's Jersey Films paid $3 million for Elmore Leonard's novel PAGAN BABIES, which isn't even due in bookstores until September.
They have now hired FIGHT CLUB scribe Jim Uhls to adapt the book, his take will be in the mid-six-figure range.
The Novel is reportedly about a Rwandan missionary (Father Terry Dunn) who had fled the U.S. to avoid prison after police cracked his cigarette smuggling scam.
