FREAKY FRIDAY Scribe Experiencing Success

Relative Hollywood newcomer Heather Hach is coasting off her success writing Disney's "Freaky Friday" and onto her next project, rewriting "Me and My Boy." The Fox 2000 romantic comedy, produced by Lynda Obst, centers on a girl looking for love with the help of her dog, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Hach has only lived in Los Angeles since 1998, when she enrolled in Writers Bootcamp. The following year she entered the Walt Disney Company's Screenwriter Fellowship Program, where she was mentored by producer Andrew Gunn and Disney feature executive Kristin Burr.

Gunn, impressed with Hach's writing abilities, suggested her for writing duties on "Freaky Friday" upon finishing her fellowship.

"Heather is fresh, fun to work with and she has revitalized our favorite project at Fox," Obst says.

Elizabeth Gabler and Carla Hacken will oversee "Boy" for the studio.
