Script Sale: SILVERFISH
June 9th, 2003
Splendid Pictures has cast its net for "Silverfish," acquiring Neil Elman's urban action script for low-six against mid-six figures to produce in conjunction with Newman/Tooley Films. "Silverfish," which marks Elman's first feature sale, revolves around a high-tech, high-stakes gambling ring that arranges early prison releases for the fiercest of convicts. The ex-cons are then trained in martial arts weapons combat, transformed into modern-day gladiators and pitted against one another in arenas that turn the island of Manhattan into a modern-day Roman coliseum.
