Script Report: MILE ZERO

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Phoenix Pictures has picked up scribe Holly Brix's horror-thriller spec script MILE ZERO. Described as being in the same vein as THE THING, the project follows a young woman's efforts to clear her father's name in a string of gruesome murders at a remote Alaskan oil facility. This is Brix's first spec sale. She is repped by UTA, Benderspink and attorney Allison Binder at law firm Stone, Meyer, Genow. She's in development on a script called THE ARK, with Barry Josephson and is polishing a new spec.
