Script Report: THE WAR OF THE WORLDS

H.G. Wells's 1898 THE WAR OF THE WORLDS, and subsequent 1953 movie, is apparently going to be remade by Paramount Pictures and Cruise/Wagner Productions. No screenwriter is attached yet, though it's reported that a 2003 production date is possible.
