The Grammys are a scam -- not to mention boring -- and heres why: P.J. Harvey didnt win one award.
Alicia Keys? U2? Outkast?
Forget it! P.J. Harvey has been the most exciting music talent to roar out onto the scene since -- well -- maybe forever. People spill their seed over Fiona, Britney, Keys, Morissette -- these women drag behind the stunningly gifted Peej -- the best songwriter around -- like an odious slime-trail.
Peej is always changing and transmogrifying her confessional style of rock -- from the shrieking pain of DRY and FOUR TRACK DEMOS/RID OF ME to the lighter, hard-charged kiss of STORIES FROM THE CITY, STORIES FROM THE SEA (which got two noms last night).
Peej and her band actually toured with U2, which was an embarrassment and a waste (the lame-asses there to see Bono didnt even know who she was), and the only good thing to come out of that is that she probably made a lot of money.
Check her out if you havent already. She is your past and your future -- trust me.
