Fiennes joins Lopez in CHAMBERMAID

In excellent casting news, Ralph Fiennes will let his hair down and co-star with Jennifer Lopez in the John Hughes-scripted THE CHAMBERMAID. Wayne Wang directs this updated version of Cinderella. The movie, to quote The Hollywood Reporter follows a woman (Lopez) who takes a job as a chambermaid in a luxury hotel. She meets and falls in love with a handsome, debonair heir to an American political dynasty (Fiennes) who is staying there. The man mistakes her for a society woman, and she soon finds herself gaining insight into the life of a man she might otherwise have judged from a distance. When her real identity is revealed, however, the truth sets in about the disparity of their lives.
This will be the first time Fiennes has cut loose since STRANGE DAYS. I cant be sure, but this might be Fiennes first flat-out light romantic comedy.
