Kaczmarek a headache for Fox

The output of MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE has been pulled back for the season thanks to Jane Kaczmareks migraines. Producers think the headaches are a maneuver to force the studio to renegotiate her salary. The order for the season has dropped from twenty-four to twenty-two.
I dont want to sound abusive here, but did Kaczmarek have a career before MALCOLM? Did anyone know who she was? Everyone on the show was either a newcomer or a sub-star. If she really is faking this illness, then that shows a jaw-dropping lack of loyalty, appreciation and simple fairness to a show that made her.
And the truth is Im dying for them to dump her character. Her acting style has dissolved to screeching into the camera. They should have her die in an accident -- LOLITA-style -- and then Hal can start dating again. Later, when he meets his new wife, she can start off as a softy, the kids think theyre in heaven, and then she turns out to be just like Kaczmarek and this wonderful show can continue to smooth by.
