AMERICAN BEAUTY Scribe Signs Pact with HBO

Oscar-winning scribe Alan Ball (AMERICAN BEAUTY), creator of THE hit series "Six Feet Under," has signed on for another two-years with HBO. The screenwriter/producer has an exclusive, seven-figure television deal to continue as exec producer of the Golden Globe-nominated "Six" for the next two seasons. Ball will create, write and exec produce other TV projects for HBO.
"I feel like I'm the luckiest guy in town to be able to do this show the way I want to do this show," Ball was quoted as saying.
Ball is also working on a potential project for Tom Hanks' Playtone Prods. "I also have a spec feature I'd like to direct when I have the time," he said.
