It looks like the comedy project AFTER PARTY has been fast-tracked by USA Films. the pic will mark the directing debut of screenwriter Takashi Bufford (SET IT OFF; BOOTY CALL). Bufford is set to direct his own script for the under-$10 million film, which will likely include cameos by Hollywood celebs.
"This is the hip-hop version of 'Risky Business' and 'After Hours,'" Bufford told Variety, "two films I thought would work well with a hip-hop vernacular."
