MADE Writer/Director Doing PORN

MADE writer/director/star Jon Favreau has been hired to rewrite the romantic comedy PORN STAR, and may also direct the pic if it is greenlighted.
The Universal Pictures project concerns an ordinary man who never takes chances, but one day falls in love with a girl who moves in next door. When it's discovered by his neighbors that she's an ex-PORN STAR, he is forced to risk everything, including his future.
Universal picked up STAR as an untitled spec script (written by Chris McKenna) in October 1999 paying an estimated $400,000 advance against a $1 million payday if the project was produced. the pic has also been titled THE GIRL NEXT DOOR.
Favreau recently completed work on the half-hour IFC special "Dinner for Five," and is about to begin work on a Thanksgiving version of the show.
