Two Scribes To Make Debuts Behind the Camera...

A couple of hot scribes are headed for the director's chair. John August and Karey Kirkpatrick have both signed deals that include them making directorial debuts.
August (GO) has been extremely busy doing adaptations and rewrites including BIG FISH for Steven Spielberg to direct, JURASSIC PARK 3, and MINORITY REPORT. And he's turning the TV series FANTASY ISLAND into a big action feature for Columbia.
CHICKEN RUN, JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH and THE LITTLE VAMPIRE scribe Karey Kirkpatrick will make his live-action directing debut on SUPERKID.
