Writers Approve Deal...
June 6th, 2001
Hollywood writers voted overwhelmingly in favor of a new contract that sends $41 million in pay raises to the 11,000-member Writers Guild of America over the next three years.
Over 4,000 guild members -- 92 percent of those casting ballots -- voted in favor of the contract, the WGA announced yesterday. Only 8 percent, or 343 members voted against the new contract.
