Scribe Leslie Dixon (PAY IT FORWARD, 2000) has been hired by IEG to rewrite the drama SMOKE AND MIRRORS. The original script, written by Janet and Lee Batchler was sold as a spec back in 1993. John McTiernan is attached to direct with everyone's favorite father and daughter team, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones, starring.
STORYLINE: Set in the 19th century, the French government sends an illusionist and his young female assistant to Algeria to expose an anti-colonialist
psing as a sorcerer.
