James Ellroy to Write 77 for Paramount Pictures

Best selling crime novelist James Ellroy (LA CONFIDENTIAL)
has inked a deal with Paramount Pictures to write 77. This
will be Ellroy's first attempt at an original screenplay.
Dick Wolf and Tony Ganz will produce.
STORYLINE: Connects two events from May of 1974: the
unsolved murder of an LAPD cop and a shootout in South
Central between the LAPD and the Symbionese Liberation Army.
