Script Report: THE CAVES OF STEEL

Variety is reporting that Universal Pictures has signed Jamie Vanderbilt to adapt Isaac Asimov's novel THE CAVES OF STEEL, vol. one of the robot series. It was also reported that Simon West (THE GENERAL'S DAUGHTER) is in negotiations to helm the picture.
Vanderbilt, a USC grad, will take home over seven figures total from Universal who has got the writer working on two other projects including BOMBSHELL, which reportedly has Leonardo DiCaprio attached to star.
