Script Report: Ted Tally (THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS) to Adapt MUCHO MOJO for New
August 22nd, 2000
One of my favorite screenwriters, Ted Tally (THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS), who also happens to be one of the top adaptation hired guns in hollywood, has agreed, for a nice sum I might add (seven figures!), to adapt Joe R. Lansdale's 1995 novel MUCHO MOJO for New Line Cinema. The Oscar-winning scribe adapted McCarthy's best-selling novel ALL THE PRETTY HORSES which is due out later this year and stars Matt Damon with Billy Bob Thorton directing.
MOJO is one of several Lansdale books dealing with the adventures of Hap Collins and Leonard Pine, a pair of rough, redneck friends from East Texas.
