Michael Schiffer will write the script for "Hopeless to Hardcore," the as-yet-unpublished memoir of military affairs writer and retired Col. David Hackworth.
The movie will center around the aftermath of Hackworth's 1971 decision to oppose the Vietnam War while still serving as a Special Forces commander.
